These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of EmeraldX, a centralized custodial exchange for Habbo NFTs and supported digital assets on Immutable zkEVM and Base. By signing in or otherwise using the service, you agree to the terms set out below.

By creating an account — signing in with an Ethereum wallet (the Sign-In with Ethereum message explicitly states “I accept the Terms of Service: https://emeraldx.io/terms”), verifying a Habbo account, or using a passkey — or otherwise accessing EmeraldX, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the service.
EmeraldX is a centralized, custodial exchange for Habbo NFTs and supported digital assets, operating on Immutable zkEVM (chain ID 13371) and Base (chain ID 8453). NFT custody runs on Immutable, while ETH and USDC payments run on Base. Users deposit assets to per-user deposit wallets, and EmeraldX credits internal balances. Trades settle instantly against those internal balances without per-trade on-chain transactions. Withdrawals are broadcast on-chain by EmeraldX custody after the user authorizes them.
Accounts are created by signing in with an Ethereum wallet (SIWE), a Habbo account, or a passkey — there are no other login methods, and EmeraldX uses no emails or passwords. Habbo accounts are verified through a mission challenge: you request a unique code and post it in your in-game mission, proving the Habbo profile is yours. A user's public identity — username, avatar, and hotel flag — is the verified Habbo profile, and it follows the account across name changes. Users who lose access simply sign in again the same way: Habbo accounts with their Habbo account, wallet users with their wallet. Linking a wallet to a Habbo account adds a second way in. Habbo accounts authorize withdrawals and transfers with a fresh single-use mission code (short-lived and bound to the exact amount and destination), an enrolled two-factor factor, or the signature of their linked wallet. Users are responsible for maintaining control of their wallet, Habbo account, passkeys, and 2FA credentials, and for the accuracy of any withdrawal destination address they authorize. EmeraldX does not custody or recover a user's personal wallet or Habbo account. Never share a mission code — EmeraldX will never ask for one outside the app. The service is not directed to minors.
EmeraldX currently supports the following assets:
Supported assets may change over time, and EmeraldX may delist assets with notice.
Each user receives a deposit wallet address that works on both networks. Deposits are detected on-chain per network and credited after block confirmations. A deposit is attributed by address match, and the credited asset is detected from the incoming transfer. Cross-asset deliveries credit in the detected asset. EmeraldX is not responsible for assets sent to incorrect addresses or for unsupported tokens.
Balances are internal ledger entries maintained on a double-entry ledger, which is the source of truth. Trades — listings, offers, and buys — settle internally and instantly. During the public beta there is a 0% trading fee (no maker, taker, buyer, or seller fee); the mature fee model is a 2% seller fee. EmeraldX may revise fees with notice.
Emerald NFTs convert 1:1 into xEME by denomination. xEME can be traded, transferred, or redeemed back into Emerald NFTs. Redemption costs the denomination's principal plus a treasury fee encoded per denomination. At launch, Emerald redemptions are subject to manual review.
Withdrawals and internal transfers are user-authorized. Wallet accounts authorize each request with an EIP-712 signature from their wallet; Habbo accounts authorize with a fresh mission challenge — a single-use code posted to their in-game mission, valid for a few minutes and bound to the exact amount and destination — an enrolled two-factor factor (authenticator app or passkey), or the signature of a wallet linked to their account; passkey accounts authorize with an enrolled factor. Signatures and mission codes are single-use (nonce-enforced) and expire after a short deadline; the withdrawal rail for non-signature authorizations is a request field validated by the route. EmeraldX custody signs and broadcasts the on-chain withdrawal. ETH and USDC withdrawals are broadcast on Base, and the actual Base network fee is paid by the user, deducted from the withdrawal amount; NFT withdrawals settle on Immutable. The user is responsible for the destination address, and transactions authorized by the user's wallet are final. Withdrawals may be rate-limited and risk-scored; certain withdrawals (for example, high-value requests, new accounts, and Emerald redemptions) may require manual review. During beta, withdrawal fees are limited to the actual network cost, with no operational fee.
EmeraldX maintains full on-chain reserves for every user balance, observed per chain and per asset. Total user balances must not exceed on-chain reserves; a reserve deficit automatically pauses the affected activity — trading, withdrawals, transfers, and/or redemptions. The public status page shows the current operational status of reserves. Custody key material is held in an isolated signer (MPC/KMS/HSM); private keys are never stored in the application database, which stores addresses only.
During the public beta, trading is 0% (the mature model is a 2% seller fee). Withdrawals during beta are charged the actual network cost, with a $0 operational fee. Emerald redemptions incur treasury fees per denomination. Fees may change with notice, and the current schedule is shown in-app.
Users must comply with all applicable law and are responsible for the accuracy of their transactions and for the security of their wallet. The following conduct is prohibited:
EmeraldX may suspend or freeze accounts, pause activity, or reverse ledger entries in cases of suspected fraud, disputes, legal process, reserve protection, or suspected violations of these terms. Operator actions are reserved for emergencies, including dispute resolution, fraud, and manual ledger adjustments. Users may close their account and withdraw their assets at any time, subject to these terms.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” NFT and cryptocurrency values are volatile and may change; EmeraldX does not guarantee liquidity, prices, or asset values. To the maximum extent permitted by law, EmeraldX's liability is limited. Users acknowledge the risks inherent to digital assets and on-chain transactions.
EmeraldX may update these terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be surfaced where practical.
Direct any inquiries about these terms to the EmeraldX team via the in-app channels, the official Discord community, or X (@emeraldx_io). You can also review the getting started guide for product questions.
